Phillip Painter

Phillip Painter is an independent safeguarding consultant with extensive experience across mainstream, special and alternative provision settings. As a former Strategic Safeguarding and Risk Management Lead for a seventeen school multi academy trust (including four special schools), he led trust wide safeguarding, attendance and behaviour arrangements. Phillip has held senior safeguarding roles within multiple local authorities, served as a DSL, and is highly experienced in reviewing safeguarding practice in special schools and alternative provision settings, undertaking independent reviews nationwide. A respected trainer and sector contributor, he supports national safeguarding development as a safeguarding consultant for the Confederation of School Trusts and serves as a Trustee within a special school only multi academy trust in the North of England.'
