Kate Ellor

Senior Audiologist, Seashell Trust

Kate is a highly experienced Senior Audiologist at the Seashell Trust, where she works with children and young adults with complex needs. Her role focuses on assessing hearing and providing tailored support with hearing devices, ensuring individuals can access sounds needed for their education and development.

Kate began her training in audiology at the University of Bristol, where she completed her degree and developed a strong foundation in hearing science and clinical practice. She went on to spend 10 years working within the NHS, specialising in paediatric audiology and supporting adults with learning disabilities. During this time, she developed a deeper understanding of how hearing health intersects with broader developmental, behavioural, and educational challenges.

With a passion for improving outcomes for young people with hearing loss and complex profiles, Kate is currently advancing her expertise by studying for an MSc in Educational Audiology through Mary Hare. This further study is enabling her to bridge the gap between audiology and education, helping her provide more integrated and holistic support to students in specialist settings.

Kate is dedicated to empowering children and young adults to thrive through better hearing access and collaborative, person-centred care. Her work at the Seashell Trust reflects her commitment to innovation, compassion, and lifelong learning in the field of audiology.
