Liz is the SEND Director for Supporting Education Group, working nationally with organisations and schools.  She has had a 25 year career in education.

Previously, Liz was Director of SEND for Star Academies, a large multi-academy trust comprised of 37 primary and secondary schools.  She was responsible for leading the SEND strategy and supporting SEND school improvement across all Star schools.  Prior to working for Star Academies, Liz worked in schools as an English teacher and senior leader responsible for inclusion. She is committed to supporting leaders and teachers to reduce barriers to learning for all pupils to enable them to thrive. 

Liz contributes to the SEND agenda nationally through her work with DfE expert advisory groups, her talks at national conferences and by producing articles for educational publications.
