Speakers

Dawn is the North West Regional Lead for WSS. She is a qualified teacher and been in education for over 25 years. She has extensive knowledge of Early Years, Primary and Secondary phases of education where she has lead on a range of curriculum areas, projects and leadership positions. She has been a SENCO for 12 years where she has worked in RP and mainstream and been a lead SENCO for her cluster of schools.

Dawn joined Whole School SEND in 2021 and has worked across the West Midlands, Lancashire, West Yorkshire and the North West. She has delivered a range of training and support for Settings, Trusts and Local Authorities and has lead on a range of DfE projects in her region. She has Post Graduate certificates in Applied Leadership and Strategic Leadership and taught NASENCO for 5 years.  

She is currently a Specialist SEND /Transformation Lead for Local Authority where she provides strategic advice and support to Settings and Teams. She is also an Area SEND and Schools Ofsted Inspector. Dawn is passionate about SEND and promoting belonging and inclusive practice for all.
