The Sweet Spot: How Small Changes in the Early Years Can Transform Communication, Regulation and Learning.

05 Feb 2027
Increasingly, parents and early-years practitioners recognise differences in communication, sensory processing, play and emotional regulation long before a child receives assessment or diagnosis. This session explores why meaningful support should not have to wait. Drawing upon decades of experience in mainstream and specialist education, Ange will share recognisable examples and realistic, low-cost changes that can be introduced at home and in schools. Attendees will consider how observation, visual communication, sensory adjustments, movement, play and co-regulation can improve children's participation and wellbeing. They will leave with clear ideas they can use immediately, helping children feel understood, regulated and ready to learn.
