Effective Working with Outside Agencies in Mainstream Settings

06 Feb 2027
This session will explore how schools can develop effective, purposeful partnerships with outside agencies to improve outcomes for learners with SEND. It will consider when and why to seek specialist support and how to share information effectively while maintaining the learner and family at the centre. Participants will explore roles, responsibilities and expectations, alongside strategies for building collaborative relationships with professionals such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and health services. The session will also consider how schools can translate external advice into practical classroom approaches, monitor impact and avoid creating unnecessary workload.
