13 Mar 2026
Collaboration / Working in Partnership

We all think we know what maths is, but this session will enable us to explore maths through a series of different lenses.  A lens that doesn’t see right or wrong, a lens that focuses on motivation, a lens that delivers equity not just inclusion.  We will seek to answer the question, what does “prepared for adulthood” look like in maths terms?

Target audience who should attend this seminar:SENCO's /Leaders, Practitioners/Support Staff, Parent & Carers, Local Authority Staff

Learning outcomes:

  • Delegates should begin to explore their own beliefs and relationship with maths.
  • Understand that maths underpins most decisions we make daily.
  • Be inspired to focus on what students need to understand to prepare them for adulthood.
  • Some simple ideas that can be implemented with little effort.
  • A mindset change on what the priority might be.
