The Equality Act: Inclusion, equality and equity. What’s the difference? Why does it matter in school?
Philippa will explore the culture and concepts behind the different language we use and what the different terms mean to people with different perspectives. She will draw on case studies from schools and on Tribunal decisions to illustrate how the Equality Act frames our duties to disabled children and young people. She will use practical situations to demonstrate how some of the inherently tricky issues sit with people with different responsibilities.
