Sherann Hillman MBE- National SEND Policy & Strategic Co-production Lead

As a National SEND Strategic Leader, I am committed to driving systemic change and improving outcomes for children, young people, and families—particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). With a passion for co-production and inclusive leadership, I work to ensure that the voices of children and families shape policies, services, and support systems at both local and national levels.

In my leadership roles, I contribute to shaping strategy, fostering partnerships, and championing best practices in SEND. My work spans policy development, stakeholder engagement, and service transformation, with a focus on empowering individuals and creating meaningful change for the last 28 years.

Honored with an MBE for services to children with SEND, I am dedicated to advocating for inclusive education, collaborative leadership, and system-wide improvements across education, health and care. My expertise extends across governance, strategic planning, and influencing national policy—working alongside local authorities, government bodies, and education providers, to build a more inclusive future.
